Noelle – graduate turned volunteer!
We received this email from Noelle, one of our graduates:
“…I’m reaching out because I’m now working as a Direct Support Professional, and I have a client who I think would really benefit from getting involved in volunteering. I immediately thought of you and the shelter because it would mean a lot to me personally to be able to give back in some way…
“Thank you again for everything you’ve done, not just for me, but for so many others.”
Noelle brought her client and they volunteered for a few hours! We are so proud of our graduates!
Thank You! (Fam Jam Edition)
On April 26th, we had our most successful Fam Jam yet! We sold 188 tickets and raised over $15,000! Thank you to our attendees, the bands, the volunteers, and the sponsors.
$15,000 = 2 weeks of:
- 3 meals a day for 3 families
- Safe bed nights for 3 families
- Check-ins for 25+ Workforce Development participants
- Financial literacy classes
- Case management, resources, referrals, and hope!

Welcome (Again), Anna!
This month we welcomed a familiar face to the FPHCR team! Anna is officially our Family Promise Harrisburg Capital Region case manager!
Over the past year and a half, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside Anna and watching her dedication, compassion, and heart for helping others shine through in everything she does. Her ability to connect with families, encourage others, and jump in wherever needed has already made such a positive impact. We are beyond excited to officially have her as part of the FPHCR family and cannot wait to see all the amazing things she will accomplish in this role!
