Our History
Jean Keller-Thau has done all the things. She has made meals, hosted, stayed over night, served on committees, served on the Board (even as President – twice!), and, she’s done it all with grace and wisdom beyond compare. Plus, she has been our contstant prayer warrior.
We couldn’t have done all of this without you, Jean! Thank you! Click hear to here Jean’s Family Promise story.
Our Impact
Did you know that families with a male over the age of 14 have a very difficult time finding housing? And, if the male is over the age of 18, he has to separate from his family.
These 93 males, along with their families, were able to stick together in our program.
We keep families together – no matter what!

Our “Why”
“I think Family Promise is important because it helps homeless families find a home and get what they need.” ~Eliza, 7 years old
“As a mom of young kids myself, I can’t imagine how terrifying homelessness must be. I volunteer because I’ve seen the difference our FPHCR staff can make. When they are in your corner, you have everything you need. This program brings hope!
“Volunteering with my daughter gives me a chance to spend special time with her, talk through a challenging social issue, and grow spiritually together. We pray for the families we meet, and we learn together.” ~Krissy
Our Families
We checked in with Danielle, a graduate from 2016. Here’s how her family is doing:
“I’m doing well! Yes the kiddos are doing great. Getting sooo big now it’s bitter sweet. They’re 11, 10 & 9 now. I also had another baby she will be 2 next month! Breyden (the oldest) will start 6th grade next year. Brielle (middle) she’s proficient in reading. She’s in 4th grade reading on a 6th grade level! Brycen (the youngest) he’s in 3rd grade and crazy about sports. Brielle and Brycen both play basketball now & are really coming into their own!”
