Celebrating 15 Years of Empowering Families from Homelessness to Home

For fifteen years, Family Promise of Harrisburg Capital Region (FPHCR)’s staff, volunteers, and board has been steadfastly dedicated to living out loud their love through services and resources aimed to prevent family homelessness through comprehensive, holistic stabilization methods.
As we reflect on our journey, we invite you to join us on October 17, 2025 for our Anniversary Celebration (more information to come).
Our History
FPHCR founder, John Bechtel, shares memories of an extraordinary woman named Yvonne Young Esworthy. John, thank you for taking this leap of faith. We all (including the hundreds of people touched by this program) are grateful!
Get Involved
Volunteer With Us
Your time and talents can make a significant difference. Whether you help out at one of our events, assist with administrative tasks, or provide mentorship to our families, your involvement is invaluable. Volunteering is not just an opportunity to give back; it’s a chance to learn, grow, and connect with your community.
Georgia Rehm was one of our first volunteers and a founding Board member. She recruited churches, raised money, helped set up the Day Center, and did everything in between!
Thank you for everything you have done, Georgia, and thanks for sharing your memories!
Donate Today
Your generous donations enable us to continue our vital work. Donations help fund our programs, provide essential services, and ensure that we can reach more families in need. Every contribution, no matter the size, is a statement of support for a future where no family has to face homelessness alone.
Looking Ahead
As we look to the next fifteen years and beyond, we are excited to expand our reach and deepen our impact. With your support, we can continue to innovate and enhance our programs, ensuring that even more families find the stability they need to build a brighter tomorrow.
Join us in our mission to prevent family homelessness and create lasting change. Together, we can make a difference. Thank you for being a part of our journey over the past 15 years and for your commitment to the many more years to come.
Over the last 15 years ...
