Our History
Sandy Olley served as a volunteer leader and as a Board member for many years. Sandy has done it all from driving the van to helping with fundraisers to taking a woman in labor to the hospital to have her first baby!
Listen in as Sandy shares her personal connection and experience with FPHCR.
Our Impact
We hear it over and over again. “If it was just me, I wouldn’t care. But I’m here for my kids.”
Every parent has an inner drive to care for and provide for their children.
We are here to help.
308 individuals under the age of 18 have been sheltered.
Our “Why”
“I have been involved since the beginning and believe that FP provides an important service to families who are homeless and struggling. I enjoyed sharing meals with the families when we were hosting and know how much a home-cooked meal was appreciated, so I continue to volunteer at FP by providing meals even though our church does not host anymore.”
~Kathy Ries, Shepherdstown UMC volunteer
Our Families
Ashley and her 2 children (a teenage boy and a toddler, affectionately called “Chubbers”), graduated from FPHCR a year ago.
Ashley and Chubbers visited us to share how they are doing now and to tell their story of how FPHCR impacted their lives.
